Having a real blast on July 1, participants in the Bond with Kuliang: 2026 China-U.S. Youth Baseball Exhibition Games and Sports Festival visited both Fuzhou Panda World and the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys Historical District.

The educational tour in Fuzhou in East China's Fujian province allowed the students to experience firsthand Fuzhou's distinctive ecological charm and ancient heritage, fostering mutual learning and deepening their cross-cultural friendships.

At Fuzhou Panda World, the participants enjoyed a close-up look at giant pandas and red pandas. They also learned about giant panda breeding, habitat conservation and biodiversity.

The park's tranquil natural environment and advanced wildlife care system vividly showcased Fuzhou's achievements in ecological civilization and the philosophy of harmony between man and nature. Many stopped to take photos, eager to share their insights on environmental protection.

Later, the participants moved on to the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys Historical District.

Guided by bilingual interpreters, they strolled through the ancient cobblestone alleys, explored historic courtyards, and listened to inspiring stories about legendary local figures and the preservation of intangible cultural heritage.

The experience offered them a fascinating deep dive into the unique charms of traditional Chinese culture and Fuzhou's rich intellectual roots.

Blending ecological science with cultural heritage, the tour successfully helped Chinese and American youth to bridge language barriers, share their impressions and enhance mutual understanding.

The participants noted that they gained a wealth of knowledge, appreciating both Fuzhou's verdant landscape and its rich cultural essence.

As a highlight of the sports festival, the exchange is said to have laid a solid foundation for grass-roots youth diplomacy — further cementing the bonds of mutual understanding and injecting fresh momentum into the enduring friendship between the younger generations of both nations.
