On June 30, participants in the Bond with Kuliang: 2026 China-U.S. Youth Baseball Exhibition Games and Sports Festival explored Pingtan in Fujian province, where they took in sweeping coastal views and experienced the island's distinctive maritime culture.

During the tour, the young athletes visited Xianshan Island. As they toured the scenic area, they enjoyed local cultural performances and learned about Pingtan's unique island heritage through exhibitions and interactive displays.

The visit offered the players a chance to experience Pingtan beyond its picturesque coastline. As they explored the island together, they exchanged stories, posed for group photos, and immersed themselves in the local culture, adding another memorable chapter to their China journey.

The festival will continue through July 2 with a series of activities, including campus exchanges, a night cruise on the Minjiang River and visits to Fuzhou's historic neighborhoods, creating more opportunities for Chinese and American youth to connect through sports and cultural exchange.
