At a time of heightened attention on U.S. -China relations, a group of young Americans studying Chinese in China share what they have discovered firsthand. In their view, young people in both countries have far more in common than divides them — the same songs, the same films, the same curiosity and passion for each other's cultures. Whatever the state of relations between the two governments, they say, it should never stand in the way of people coming together.
