As spring blossoms across Kuliang in Fuzhou, a delegation from the National Consortium of STEM Schools, the United States, visited the historic mountain retreat on April 15 at the invitation of the China Education Association for International Exchange. The visit provided a meaningful opportunity for the U.S. guests to revisit the story of Kuliang, a cherished symbol of long-standing people-to-people friendship between China and the United States.

During the stay, the delegation explored a range of cultural and historical landmarks. Surrounded by Kuliang's lush spring scenery, the delegation members experienced its tranquil natural environment while gaining deeper insight into the century-old stories of friendship rooted in the area.

"Kuliang is a wonderful place. Hearing the stories that unfolded here many years ago, and learning about the friendship between our ancestors, have been deeply moving," said Ann Flynn, director of STEM Education Partnerships for the National Consortium of STEM Schools. "I hope that today's citizens and students can rediscover some of that magic from over a century ago. We are also working with partner institutions to establish sister-school relationships, so that as these initiatives develop, both teachers and students will have opportunities to engage in meaningful exchanges."

Flynn added that both Kuliang's past and present continue to resonate with visitors, expressing confidence that such connections will help foster even greater friendship and cooperation in the years ahead.
