Tens of thousands of azaleas are now in full bloom at the Zhuli Scenic Area in the Kuliang Tourist Resort, Fuzhou.

Located at an altitude of more than 700 meters, the Azalea Valley is at its peak viewing season, with blossoms expected to last through the May Day holiday. Flowers in shades of red, pink, white, and purple line ridge-top walking trails and spread across lakeside areas, forming a vivid contrast with cloud seas, forested hills, and historic Western-style villas.
In addition to azaleas, a variety of seasonal flowers are also on display, including Bauhinia along mountain roads, red photinia, wild fringe trees, and purple wisteria, adding layers of color to the landscape.

Covering about 10 mu (0.67 hectares), the Azalea Valley features nearly 20 varieties and has been developed through long-term ecological landscaping. Designed in harmony with the natural terrain, the site integrates flower fields, walking trails, and traditional architecture to create an accessible nature experience.
A representative from the Management Committee's Resource Protection Office of the Kuliang Tourist Resort said the valley was designed to harmonize with the natural landscape, blending dense azalea blooms with wooden arch bridges and Chinese and Western-style architecture. Future efforts will focus on expanding planting areas, diversifying varieties, and enhancing the overall floral landscape, while also promoting eco-tourism and camping development in the Zhuli area.
