The documentary Bridge to a Shared Future traces the legacy in China of journalists Edgar Snow and Helen Foster Snow, who were from the United States.

Nearly a thousand participants from across American society attended the event, including representatives of the Helen Foster Snow Foundation; leaders and faculty from the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, Southern Utah University and Utah Tech University; as well as representatives from Paradigm Motion Picture Co. Students, teachers and parents from Utah's Chinese-language education community also participated.

The event began with the screening of Bridge to a Shared Future in which Adam Foster retraces the journey of his great-aunt Helen Foster Snow and Edgar Snow. This narrative resonated with Salt Lake City's historical legacy, creating a moving dialogue across time that deeply affected the audience. After the screening, viewers engaged in a lively discussion with the production team.

During the roundtable session, producers and representatives from the Helen Foster Snow Foundation and Utah's education community discussed future cultural cooperation. A symbolic gift exchange followed: the producers presented the foundation with an official copy of the documentary, honoring the Snows' legacy, while the foundation gifted rare historical photographs of Helen Foster Snow in return, affirming the film's significance and their respect for this enduring friendship.

The event successfully extended the documentary's impact beyond the screen, helping the historical friendship between the Snows and China resonate with contemporary American audiences, especially younger generations. The documentary continued its tour on November 12 at the Helen Foster Snow Cultural Center at Southern Utah University and is now being screened across additional communities, universities and cultural institutions throughout Utah, further expanding its cultural reach and public engagement.
