Elyn MacInnis, founder of Friends of Kuliang and descendant of Donald MacInnis of the Flying Tigers, has donated a WWII relic documenting Japan's war crimes in China to the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders.
The artifact was entrusted by Gail Harris, the niece of Oliver R. Caldwell, who was then a professor at the University of Nanking in what is today Nanjing, and it was preserved by her family for decades.
"The most important thing is history — we must never forget," Elyn said. "We need authentic evidence that speaks for itself."
