From Xi'an to Fuzhou to Beijing, the voices of the One Voice Children's Choir have lit up stages and touched hearts across China, bridging cultures through the universal language of music. In this special edition of The Hub, Wang Guan reconnects with the American choir, now back in China for the "Bond with Kuliang: 2025 China-U.S. Youth Choir Festival." Together, they reflect on what has changed since their last visit and why this cultural exchange holds such deep meaning. Wang Guan also gets insights from Tanner DeWaal, CEO and artistic director of the choir, and the young performers. They share what surprised them most during their journey, and what it feels like to sing in Chinese. They also reflect on the moments that moved them and the stories they hope to bring home. In a time of global uncertainty, their journey serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of music, connection, and people-to-people friendship.
