Bond with Kuliang: 2025 China-U.S. Youth Choir Festival and World Youth Peace Conference set for July

On June 25, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) announced the launch of three major international events: the Bond with Kuliang: 2025 China-U.S. Youth Choir Festival, the "Ode to Peace" Art Exhibition, and the World Youth Peace Conference. With the harmony of music, the beauty of art, and the vitality of youth, these events aim to weave a timeless narrative of peace.

From July 9 to 18, the Bond with Kuliang: 2025 China-U.S. Youth Choir Festival will be held in Fuzhou and Beijing. Co-hosted by CPAFFC and Fujian Provincial People's Government, the festival will carry the theme "Sing for Peace", bringing together 33 outstanding youth choirs—including 10 from the United States and 23 from China—with more than 500 young musical ambassadors expected to participate.

The U.S. youth, hailing from seven states including Utah, Washington, and California, will engage in joint choir performances, campus exchanges, city flash mobs, and more. They will also visit iconic sites such as the Forbidden City, Great Wall, 798 Art District, and historic neighborhoods in Fuzhou, offering them a comprehensive experience of China's rich traditions and vibrant modern life.

Following the festival, the "Ode to Peace" Art Exhibition will run from July 19 to August 12 at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing. Jointly organized by CPAFFC and the museum, the exhibition will, for the first time, present the complete 1955 masterpiece Ode to Peace—a collaborative work by 14 prominent Chinese artists, including Qi Baishi and Chen Banding. Depicting doves of peace nestled among blooming flowers, the artwork expresses a universal longing for harmony. The exhibition will feature more than 80 peace-themed art treasures, highlighting humanity's enduring aspiration for peace through creative expression.

On July 29, the spotlight will turn to the World Youth Peace Conference, co-hosted by CPAFFC and the All-China Youth Federation, in Beijing. With the theme "Together for Peace", the conference will follow a main venue plus thematic sub-events format and is expected to welcome approximately 2,500 participants, including youth representatives from five continents, leaders of international youth organizations, and international students studying in China.

During the conference, youth representatives from around the world will jointly issue the World Youth Peace Initiative, reinforcing a shared commitment to peace and development. Beyond Beijing, additional sessions will take place in Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, Shanghai, and other regions, fostering deeper mutual understanding and practical cooperation between international youth through diverse and inclusive dialogues.
