Shi Fadu

Shi Fadu (Buddhist name), born in 1979 in Fuding city, Fujian province, became a monk at Xuefeng Temple of Nan'an, Fujian, in 1997. He studied at Buddhist College of Minnan from 1999 to 2003 and graduated with a master's degree in Religious Studies from Nanjing University in 2014.

He currently serves as the deputy secretary-general and director of the Academic Affairs Office of the Fujian Buddhist Association, president of the Fujian Chan Culture Exchange and Promotion Association, president of the Nan'an Buddhist Association, and a Buddhist abbot of Xuefeng Temple of Nan'an.

He is responsible for managing ordinations and clergy in Fujian province. He has organized various forums to promote traditional Chinese culture and initiated events that bring together Buddhist representatives and overseas Chinese to exchange ideas, discuss, and build consensus.
