Eighteen Scenery Park

The Eighteen Scenery Park of Gushan's Bodhidharma Cave covers a total area of 33 hectares. The park features peculiar peaks, strange rocks, deep caves, ancient trees, and a long history of Confucian, Buddhist and Taoist legends.

The area is filled with ancient inscriptions and carvings, making it a natural "earth sculpture," "green treasure," and "calligraphy art gallery". During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), Fuzhou native Wei Jie creatively selected and named 18 scenic spots within the park, composing poems for each.
