During the Mid-Autumn Festival, which fell on September 17 this year, Kuliang Tourist Resort in Fuzhou city, Fujian province, became a vibrant hub of cultural exchange and celebration. The resort hosted a unique blend of traditional Mid-Autumn festivities and the exuberant spirit of China's Farmers' Harvest Festival, drawing a diverse crowd of local and international visitors.
The atmosphere was electric as over 20 international students from Yemen, Morocco, Vietnam, and other countries joined tourists in a DIY mooncake-making activity. Guided by local residents, they shaped dough, filled it with sweet or savory fillings, and pressed traditional patterns into mooncakes, which are a symbol of reunion and happiness. This hands-on experience allowed them to immerse themselves in the warmth and joy of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

At the mooncake workshop, the international students not only learned the art of mooncake making but also shared stories about their own holiday customs, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. They also had the opportunity to experience other traditional customs, such as tower stacking and learning about the "Four Treasures of Kuliang", which added depth to their cultural immersion.

A large, creative inflatable moon rabbit check-in point was a popular spot for tourists to capture memorable photos. At various scenic spots, including the Kuliang Families Story Museum and Kuliang Club, traditional activities such as dice games, ring toss, and interactive games featuring locally themed handmade products were held, adding to the festive spirit.
Meanwhile, students from Minjiang University put on a vibrant and exciting performance that further enhanced the festive mood.
As one of the highlight events in Fuzhou during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Kuliang's cultural event combined online and offline experiences, offering a large number of free gift coupons to tourists. Partnering with boutique homestays and restaurants, the event also launched trendy activities like moon-watching barbecue parties, enriching the festive experience for visitors.
This Mid-Autumn celebration allowed Chinese and international visitors to experience the rich historical legacy of Kuliang, where East meets West, and enjoy the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture in a youthful, dynamic setting.
